What is Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser?

Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser* is a daily fiber that contains 14 all natural ingredients including a proprietary blend of medicinal herbs and dietary fiber. Colonix® fiber helps to cleanse the colon of accumulated toxic build-up and prevent the formation of new build-up.* The main source of fiber in Colonix®, psyllium husk, is a multi-tasking supplement: it cleanses the colon and promotes regularity while delivering heart-healthy benefits.*

Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser is part of the Colonix® Kit Program. The cleansing herbs in Colonix® fiber were carefully selected to work in tandem with the components of the Colonix® Program to assist in cleansing the colon by stimulating the body’s natural elimination process and supporting digestive wellness.*

Suggested use

Days 1 - 5

Mix ½ scoop of Colonix® fiber with 8 ounces of water or juice. Drink your fiber mix quickly, or it will become too thick to drink. Follow it with another 8-ounce glass of water. Detoxification will not work without an adequate amount of water, so drink eight 8-ounce glasses of pure water every day.

Days 6 - 30

Mix one scoop of Colonix® fiber with the beverage of your choice. Drink quickly, and follow it with an 8-oz. glass of water or juice. Continue to drink eight glasses of pure water each day while taking Colonix® fiber. Water will help to absorb unwanted materials, mobilize fiber and sweep waste out.

Why should I cleanse?

You brush your teeth after using them to eat. You wash your hair to get rid of oils and product residue. You spend a lot of effort and time keeping your outsides sparkling clean.Think of a cleanse as 'spring cleaning' for your body, a way to gently and effectively kick-start your natural elimination process. Colonix® fiber assists by acting like a sponge in the digestive tract: it expands and becomes spongy, dissolving and absorbing toxins, eventually flushing them out of the body.*

Many people have found that they benefit from a High Fiber Diet, which also supports heart health. Find out why Fiber Cleanse is better than other types of cleanses. If you are considering a first-time cleanse or if you typically cleanse only once a year, we recommend you commit to a full 90-day cleanse with the entire, three-component Colonix® Kit Program, which features Colonix® fiber.

Avoid Fiber becoming too thick?

Try mixing the fiber in different beverages, like fruit juice, rice/soy milk or almond milk. Blend the mix in a blender until it’s smooth and creamy. Add fresh or frozen fruit to the mix to enhance flavor.

Part of the Colonix® Kit

Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser is one of three essential components in the Colonix® Program. For a complete, thorough cleanse, use Colonix® Kit Program for 30, 60 or 90 days.

What kind of psyllium do you use in Colonix®?

We use 95% grade, high quality psyllium husk sourced from suppliers in India who comply with strict quality standards set by our U.S. manufacturer. Our manufacturer follows cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines set by the Food and Drug Administration.

What kind of Fiber is in Intestinal Cleanser?

The Colonix® fiber contains 1/3 insoluble and 2/3 soluble fiber. Psyllium is the main ingredient in the fiber; 73% is psyllium and the remaining 27% is made up of a combination of other herbs. Psyllium is a natural bulking agent which yields 60 to 70 percent soluble fiber – eight times that of oat bran.

Psyllium does the heavy lifting in two parts: It swells into a spongy mass, absorbing fluids and toxins. It also breaks down waste and moves out build-up that has been trapped in the folds and crevices of the colon. Psyllium is also well studied and proven to reduce total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL or "bad cholesterol"). Standard psyllium is only 85% grade. Our psyllium, however, is 95% grade. It costs more than standard psyllium, but we also believe that the higher grade is more effective in cleansing the colon, and it dissolves better in liquids.

Soluble fiber turns into a gel on your insides. Insoluble fiber goes right through you. Together, they promote healthy evacuation and reduce incidence of constipation. Your body needs both of them!

Difference between Intestinal Cleanser and UniFiber®?

The Colonix® cleansing fiber is a mix of both soluble and insoluble fiber, whereas the Unifiber® is made up of only insoluble fiber. Both kinds of fiber are beneficial and help with keeping the digest tract clean. In general, soluble fiber dissolves in water and gastrointestinal fluids and becomes a gel-like substance that sweeps the colon clean as it moves through your body. Insoluble fiber does not dissolve, but does absorb fluid, helping to produce bulk and to stimulate peristalsis, the body’s natural movement of food and waste through the intestines. Most people do not get enough fiber – of either kind – in their daily diets, so supplementing daily with one or the other is often not only considered safe, but healthful. Keep in mind that a single serving of Unifiber® provides only 3 grams of fiber, where as a serving of the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser contains nearly 3 times as much (8 grams). If you find that you are especially sensitive to fiber, you might try taking the Unifiber® first, as it “hides” well in other foods and drinks, having no flavor of its own. If you need a “stronger” fiber, then the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser would be a better choice for you.

Is Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser Gluten Free?

Yes, the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser is Gluten Free.

Importance of drinking water

The way that fiber supplements work in the body is that they require a sufficient amount of water in order to bulk up and move easily through the intestines. If you take the fiber regularly but don’t drink enough water, your cleansing experience will be diminished. By its nature, fiber promotes peristalsis (the contraction of the intestines to move things through), but insufficient water intake may slow down the transit time leading to discomfort and more difficult evacuation. This is easily remedied by drinking water regularly throughout the day.

Do I need to do the complete Colonix® Kit program or is the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser enough?

This really depends on your goals. While the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser is a powerful fiber supplement, it only fulfills one third of the purpose of the entire cleaning program. If your goal is to complete a full-body cleanse, supporting all the organs of digestion, boosting immunity, and eliminating toxins from the body, then the complete, three-part Colonix® program is recommended. If, however, you are simply looking to improve regularity and the bathroom experience, adopting the daily use of just the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser is sufficient. We recommend that everyone complete a 60- to 90-day full cleansing program at least once. After this, just the fiber component can be used on a regular basis to help keep the digestive system clean and clear.
